Delete your account
We’re sorry to see you go. This page explains how to request deletion of your Kindlio account and what data is removed or kept.
How to request deletion
- Send an email to privacy@kindlio.app from the email address associated with your Kindlio account.
- Include your account email address and the words “Delete my account” in the subject line.
- We will confirm your request and process deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove your profile, listings, community posts and comments, reactions, saved preferences, and any active subscription record stored in Kindlio. We also delete your avatar image from storage.
What is kept and why
Some data may need to remain for legal, safety, or operational reasons:
- Messages and completed exchanges: Messages you sent to another member may remain visible in their inbox so they can keep a record of the exchange.
- Reviews you wrote or received: Public reviews may be retained so members can continue to trust the community.
- Legal and financial records: Limited records may be kept for tax, fraud prevention, and compliance purposes, then deleted according to our legal retention schedule.
Retention period
Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days. Data that must be retained for legal or safety reasons is kept only as long as required by law or our legitimate business needs, then securely deleted.
